About Us
Lost Valley Creations was established in January 2024 when we decided to share our passion with others. We have expanded our portfolio to include laser engraved and 3D printed products.
Our Production Team
The journey to our ever expanding production line
We start our journey in November 2022 when we got our first 3D printer, Creality Ender 3. Here started our experimental and educational journey into this exciting and interesting industry.
Whilst discovering what we could achieve with 3d printing, we soon realised that this was a basic model and we were ready to up our game and take it to the next level.
After much research into our next machine, based on performance and budget, we found Bambu Labs; a leader in the consumer 3D market and our next printer. We purchased a Bambu Labs P1S, a fully enclosed printer that was also capable of multi-filament printing.
Spending evenings watching back to back Youtube videos; exploring the world of 3D printing and what could really be achieved with these machines. We experimented with different designs, products and just had fun learning and exploring.
Hang on a minute, our old Creality has a laser engraving attachment. Could this be a 2 in one production member?
Back to Youtube. We now had 2 different hobbies to explore and although Creality could do the laser as an add on, this was not the machine for the job. There are so many different engravings and creations you can make with a laser printer. Could we build a small business on these skills?
We came across the Xtool F1 which was powerful, but also portable. We saw people bringing these to craft fairs and engraving while people wait… This looks cool, maybe we could try that. The F1 came on offer and it was a no brainer. You could trade in an old machine for a new one and so we decided that the Creality had had it’s time and we wanted to upgrade.
We now had a decent 3D printer and a decent laser engraver - So many ideas, so many skills we needed to learn.
With lots of trial and error, we began to understand the effects of different settings and different materials,
With lots of trial and error, we bagan to understand the effects of different settings and materials. With practicing our skills, ultimately the quality of our products improved, especially on slate. We started to share our results on social media and ended up attracting the attention of friends in the agility community. We started to get enquiries whether it would be possible to provide trophies for some agility competitions. After supplying trophies for some small competitions, we started to get some larger requests.
We were more than happy to fulfill these requests but we knew that being only able to do a max of 3 trophies at a time, the F1 was not going to be the most efficient way of producing large trophy orders. Welcome the Xtool S1 with a much larger processing area, we are able to produce multiple coasters at a time, larger products and different processes and materials.
Life got in the way for a while and although we had a steady stream of trophy requests and orders from friends and family, Lost Valley Creations took a bit of a backseat.
Moving onto November 2024 where time was on our side and circumstances meant we had more availability to build the business back up. Christmas was coming and with it, craft fairs and markets most weekends. This gave us the opportunity to get our name back out there locally, and develop the business.
Signing up for our first craft fair and preparing the stock required, we quickly realised (as we always do) that the one 3D printer was not going to be enough. We needed to have machines on the go 24/7 and we needed a teammate for the P1S. Enter our latest team member, the Bambu Lab A1.
